January 30 Time to take some new pictures.Check out the pic to the left... http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20060130/bs_nm/energy_exxon_earns_dc November 29 BahamaTook a trip over TG break to Bahama. Had a lot of fun, but camera broke two days into the trip. Put up some of the pics. Will write more about the trip when I'm around to do so, which very well might be never :) November 11 If you have some time to wasteAdded 2 tests. Helps indecisive people like me figure out what's your political leaning and religious belief. The result of both tests surprised me. Consider myself an agnostic, but tested to be Universal Unitarian (although some might consider them the same :). Thought I was a democrat, but tested to be a centralist leaning toward libertarian. http://www.okcupid.com/politics?describe=Centrist&score=3334 Have fun! October 16 PicsIn case anyone wants to know. The Arizona and LA pictures were taken in following locations: Montezuma's Well, Montezuma's Castle, Sedona, Pima Air Museum, and La Brea Tar Pit. I'll add more infomation about each location when I get around to it, although I was going to do that for my China pictures and that trip was 8 months ago... August 28 Pray for New OrleansWell, it has been predicted for many years that a big slow moving hurricane hitting NO stright on could cause up to 1 million loss of lives... seems like we got potential for one of that now. Hopefully most people will be smart and leave the city, as based on the current projected path, the whole city would probably be underwater by Monday. Not to pointing finger, but this is a danger that has been identified a long time but to clear the waterway that would alleviate the problem will cost estimated 50 billions. As always, that's just too big a pricetag for something that's not urgent. June 03 Update NoticeStarting to add links to various lists here. So if you didn't know what a thousand year old egg is before, you could. Note that items with link will have different color. May 28 Random Question #3: Who should win?Assuming there is an election with 3 candidates, A, B, and C. 40% of voters like A, neutral about C, and dislike B, so their order of preference is A->C->B. 45% of the voters has order of preference B->C->A. The remaining 15% has order of preference C->A->B. So who should win this election? Consider if voting under 1 vote per person rule (as in US), B would win, even thou majority of voters dislike him. If using run off voting system (such as in France), A would win, even thou he would lose head to head to C. If using a point system (as in MVP voting) with 3 points to first choice, 2 points to 2nd choice, 1 point to 3rd choice C would win, even thou only 15% of people really like him. So, who should win in a democratic election? |
